On Sunday, April 23, 2023, during worship, we will have a time when those who would like to be anointed with oil may come up, be prayed over, and anointed.
LifeBridge received the following communication from our District president.
Our world is in great need. Ukraine has been on our hearts and in our prayers. So many are courageously walking in faith as they face the terrors of war. Bishop Serge Maschewski of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Ukraine (ELCU) is shepherding our sister church with courage and grace. Our LCMS leaders and local mission representatives are supporting them in wonderful ways. If you would like to contribute to helping our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, please go to www.lcms.org/ukraine for details and prayer/devotional resources.

I encourage you to click the link above and donate to those who can help, if you are so moved.
Regardless of whatever else you do, please keep all involved – victims and oppressors in prayer; for safety, cessation of hostilities, softened hearts, wise decisions, ways toward peace, diplomacy, and that Christ may be made known and God glorified amidst the suffering and chaos.
Please join the LifeBridge Family as we come together in prayer for David Walker, Alan Boehm and anyone else desired.
LifeBridge Community Church Tuesday, November 9, 6:30-8:00 PM
The Sanctuary will be open for come and go prayer during this time. Also, prayer leaders will be available for group prayers if desired.
David is having surgery for some lung cancer to be removed on Thursday and Alan is still receiving chemo. treatments to prepare for his surgery in December.
Let’s lift them up together with confidence to the Throne of Grace!
NOTE: The FORGE Men’s group will use this time for prayer as a part of our usual meeting.
On Sunday, August 8, 2021, during worship, we will have a time when those who would like to be anointed with oil may come up, be prayed over, and anointed.
Area LCMS pastors, along with our Texas District President, join together to lift up in prayer our nation, congregations, businesses, schools, families, the pandemic and more. Wrapping up with a sung Doxology, these pastors join you in prayer at this significant time in our nation’s history.
God bless America…and may Jesus come soon!
Special Thanks to our Circuit Visitor, The Rev. Jeff Doria, as well as to The Rev. Mark Wuggazer for organizing the topics and Seth Gehrke for editing and compiling the video into its final form.
On Sunday, February 9, during worship, we will have a time when those who would like to be anointed with oil may come up, be prayed over, and anointed.
God loves it when we talk to Him. When we pray, He delights to listen and answer (and He always answers).
Beginning on Sunday, July 21, we will have a new opportunity to do this during worship on Communion Sundays.
At the back of the sanctuary (beyond where we circle for Communion), we will have a couple of “pray-ers” available to listen and pray with anyone who desires.
What we are envisioning is that people will be able to approach these pray-ers before, during, or immediately following Communion. We are looking to have a male and female available to ensure variety should someone be more comfortable with a specific gender. This will be a time to not only request prayer, but to have someone pray with you.
Oh, and we are looking for folks who would like to be the “pray-ers” in worship. The qualifications:
Be comfortable listening to and praying with/for others and their needs.
Understand and respect the utmost level of confidentiality for all people and prayers. What is said and prayed for during these times stays there, unless specifically requested to be shared by those requesting prayers.
Be faithful to cover the worship days you are scheduled for.
If you would like to join this important ministry or have questions, please contact Carolyn at Prayers@LifeBridgeSealy.com.
We know not everyone may be comfortable approaching someone during this time in worship for prayer, but this will allow an additional opportunity for those who desire it.
For the remainder of this year, we will be taking 15 minutes before worship to sit, pray, and seek the Lord’s Will in regard to LifeBridge: why He has us here; how He wants us to fulfill our mission (“Reaching the Lost; Discipling the Saved; and Sharing the Love of Jesus with Everyone”) and serve in our community in their needs and beyond; what area(s) is He calling us to serve and support? For some good passages to meditate/pray upon, try starting with the passages below.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. 2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. 3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. 21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
In early January, we will have a day of sharing what the Lord has been saying to all of us and lay down His plans for LB’s future. In the meantime, share what the Lord has been sharing in the form below.
